Catching a sticking valve, worn packing, or a small leak before a call prevents delays or failures during pumping operations. More thorough servicing or testing would fall under weekly, monthly, or yearly intervals, but the daily check keeps the system reliable right now.

Safe egress from the station requires speed control and heightened vigilance. As you leave the bay, there are people, doors, and equipment nearby, plus potential pedestrians and vehicles just beyond the doors. Moving slowly—keeping to a conservative speed, like a maximum of about 10 mph—gives you time to scan for hazards, react if a door opens, and safely maneuver into the street or around parked apparatus. This slow, controlled exit reduces the risk of striking someone or something and helps you smoothly integrate into traffic once you’re clear of the station. Rushing to normal traffic speed right away or accelerating abruptly increases the chance of losing control or not seeing a pedestrian or obstacle in time, and racing the engine is unsafe and could cause a collision or injury.

If pressure does not return after a restart or if you suspect a failing pump or sensor, arrange for maintenance before attempting to run the engine again.
