• Inventory and Distribution Management: Covering inventory control methodologies, replenishment strategies, warehousing, logistics, and optimizing the flow of materials.
• Information Systems and Data Management: Assessing proficiency in technology, data analysis, reporting, and using information to drive evidence-based decisions.
• Finance: Demonstrating understanding of financial principles, budgeting, cost accounting, variance analysis, and their application to supply chain operations.

What to Expect in the Final Exam

The final Certified Materials & Resources Professional (CMRP) Examination is a rigorous, proctored test. You must be prepared for a structured, time-sensitive environment. The exam consists of 110 multiple-choice questions. Of these, 100 are scored and contribute to your final result, while 10 are unscored pretest items used to gather statistical data for future exams. You will have a total of two hours (120 minutes) to complete the test. A scaled score is used to determine passing, and the specific cut-off score is set through a meticulous psychometric process to ensure fairness and validity. The exam is closed-book, meaning no outside resources are permitted.

Preparation for the CMRP should be extensive and highly structured. We recommend starting with a deep dive into the official "CMRP Examination Content Outline" provided by the AHA. The AHRMM (Association for Healthcare Resource & Materials Management) offers official review guides, online self-assessment tools, and interactive review workshops, which are gold standards for study.

The exam is administered by Meazure Learning (formerly Scantron) and can be taken at their extensive network of testing centers globally. Alternatively, you can take the exam via Live Remote Proctoring (LRP), which allows you to take the test from the comfort of your home or office, provided you meet the stringent technology and environment requirements. You must register and schedule your appointment through the AHA Certification Center’s portal.
