What to Expect in the Final Exam

The NC-BC certification exam is a comprehensive assessment of your ready-to-practice knowledge. It is a computer-based, multiple-choice examination. In total, the exam consists of 140 questions. Of these, 120 are scored items, and 20 are pretest (experimental) questions that do not affect your final score but are used for future test development.

Candidates are given a maximum of three hours to complete the examination. To achieve passing status, you must secure a raw score that corresponds to 72% of the scored questions. Results are provided immediately to candidates at the test site upon completion of the computer-based assessment.
