Stability for a shepherd/leader comes from combining faith, love, and endurance. Faith grounds the leader in God’s guidance and promises, so decisions aren’t swayed by shifting trends or personal ambition. Love keeps the heart aimed at the flock’s welfare, shaping leadership with compassion, selflessness, and a servant posture. Endurance maintains steadiness over time, enabling faithful care through trials, fatigue, and opposition. Courage and Wisdom are valuable traits for facing challenges, but without faith to anchor trust in God and love to direct care, boldness can miss the right aim or falter under pressure. Patience and Humility describe essential character qualities, yet they may lack the active, sustaining dimension that faith and enduring love provide in long-term shepherding. Hope and Perseverance emphasize resilience, but the missing element of deep, sacrificial love makes the leadership less missional and less relationally nourishing for the flock.

The earliest milestone is found in recognizing women preaching as part of the church’s early ministry practice. In its Pentecostal- Holiness revival era, women were already active preachers and evangelists, often filling preaching roles in meetings and circuits. When the assembly later formalized ministry roles, it codified an arrangement that aligned with what had already been happening in the churches. The other options reflect later developments: establishing a bishops’ council introduces a structured governance system after the church has grown; adopting a formal Declaration of Faith comes after doctrine is systematized in writing; and renaming Lee College represents an institutional branding step that occurs well after early ministry practices and organizational foundations are in place.

Placing people as the top priority keeps ministry oriented around relationships and needs. Caring means we organize time, resources, and decisions around people, not around a schedule, program, or procedure. That is why the best choice is priority: it conveys both importance and ordering—people come first, and everything else follows. A focus is about directing attention to something; it can be about tasks or outcomes, but it doesn't inherently say people come first. A center is the point around which things rotate, which could be a program or location rather than people. A core is the essential part, but it doesn't imply that people hold the ultimate rank in ministry decisions. Making people the priority expresses the true aim of caring in ministry.

John 3:16 is the clearest direct statement that Jesus is the unique, only begotten Son of God. The phrase “only begotten Son” (monogenēs) emphasizes His one-of-a-kind sonship, which is central to who He is in Scripture and why belief in Him brings eternal life. While other verses describe the miraculous conception by the Holy Spirit or the virgin birth (Luke 1:35) and others outline His crucifixion, burial, resurrection, or intercession, this verse most directly anchors the claim of His special divine Sonship. So, for a verse specifically affirming Jesus as the unique Son of God, John 3:16 is the best fit.

Sanctification after the new birth is carried out through a threefold channel: faith in the blood of Christ, through the Word, and by the Holy Ghost. Trusting in Christ’s atoning blood provides the cleansing and reliance on His finished work that begins and sustains the process. The Word acts as the sanctifying truth that reveals God’s will, renews the mind, and guides behavior. The Holy Ghost dwells within believers, applying Christ’s work, producing inward change, conviction, and empowerment for obedience. Relying on faith in Christ alone, by itself, misses the ongoing means God uses to transform us. Mere church membership or personal effort cannot accomplish lasting sanctification without the Spirit’s work and the truth of Scripture shaping our lives.
