The full DAANCE program is a continuing education course consisting of approximately 36 hours of self-study, culminating in a standardized, computerized examination. While the entire exam covers five core areas—including basic sciences, systemic diseases, equipment, and emergencies—Module 3 specifically focuses intensely on Anesthetic Drugs and Techniques. When you prepare using a DAANCE Module 3 Practice Test, you will be drilling down into the pharmacology of the agents commonly used in the dental office. This includes a thorough understanding of the mechanisms of action, dosages, contraindications, and side effects of intravenous sedatives, local anesthetics, inhalation agents (such as nitrous oxide), and relevant emergency drugs. What to Expect in the Final Exam

The actual DAANCE final exam is a rigorous, computerized test consisting of 115 multiple-choice questions.
