 What to Expect in the Final Exam

The New York Esthetics licensing process requires passing two separate examinations: a practical exam and a theoretical (written) exam.

• Structure: You will perform specific procedures, such as sanitation/safety setup, client consultation, cleansing, skin analysis, eyebrow arching, professional facial treatment, and makeup application.

• Assessment: Proctors observe your technique, safety, sanitation, and ability to follow instructions precisely.

Passing Score: A minimum score of 70% is required on both exams to qualify for licensure.
